When some friends of a paralytic man heard that Jesus was IN THE HOUSE, they did everything they could to get their friend into his presence. They even took off the roof of a house and lowered him in on a mat, most likely strung up with ropes of some sort. All this after fighting their way through a standing room only crowd that flooded out of that house Jesus occupied. The friends did this for two reasons. One, they had a great love for their friend. Two, they knew that only Jesus could heal him. In the House Ministries exists for two reasons. One, we love the city of Portland. Two, we know that only Jesus can heal this land.

In the House Ministries exists to train, encourage and equip the body of Christ in the areas of prayer, worship, evangelism, prophetic, ministry to the poor, spiritual warfare and the creative arts. The Downtown House of Prayer is established to provide 24/7 worship and prayer for the city of Portland, Oregon. This blog is just for fun, but perhaps over time it will provide some insight and stimulate discussion surrounding the above areas.

More information on Meditation Times
Just wanted to let you know that we have:
1) Restarted meditation sessions at Sylvan Hills Church and we will be meditating through Philippians every Wednesday from 12:30-2:30. Everyone who would like to join us is welcome - would be a good time to start since we just started today in Phil 1:1.
2) Completed once through the Mike Bickle 20-CD teaching series on Song of Songs at Calvary Temple. Starting next Monday from 9-11 we will be spending the first hour individually reading the accompnaying Song of Songs syllabus (one session per week). We will then continue to meditate through the entire book for about 40 minutes and take the last 20 minutes to pray collectively around what God reveals to us. We plan on staying in the Song of Songs indefinitely - it is such a crucial book in what God is doing in His church today and there is so much there. So now would also be a good time for anyone to also join us there since we will start over in Chapter 1 next Monday.
