About Me
- Name: portland international house of prayer
- Location: Portland, Oregon, United States
When some friends of a paralytic man heard that Jesus was IN THE HOUSE, they did everything they could to get their friend into his presence. They even took off the roof of a house and lowered him in on a mat, most likely strung up with ropes of some sort. All this after fighting their way through a standing room only crowd that flooded out of that house Jesus occupied. The friends did this for two reasons. One, they had a great love for their friend. Two, they knew that only Jesus could heal him. In the House Ministries exists for two reasons. One, we love the city of Portland. Two, we know that only Jesus can heal this land.

New Scriptures for this week's Meditations
5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace,
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be,
8 So then those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ he is not His.
spend time in these scriptures with us, allowing the Lord to reveal His heart.
Join us any Wednesday at Sylvan Hill Church (right off of Hwy 26, Sylvan exit) 12:30-2:30

"live according to"
when meditating on this phrase I saw a picture of a boy, nodding
to the spirit in a respectful way, agreeing with, and obeying in a way I guess, to the spirit but not because of manipulative fear, but out of a knowledge of who God is and his goodness more like a good father instructing his son in the
ways of righteousness. Living according to the spirit, the goodness of God the person and
virtue of his character, knowing and trusting that He is good and His plans are for our prosperity
and not for our distruction
(Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.),knowing that He is leading us into a life of abundant life and
also giving us a purpose, destiny, more of a welcoming the instruction of the Spirit and the
guidance and understanding the fear of the Lord and that the fear of the Lord leads to life,is a well of life (Pr 14:27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, To turn one away from the snares of death.)
This would also be true of the flesh if submited to,it would lead you on a path but the flesh is perverted and manipulative and
distractive and corrupt. If you submit yourself to the flesh it would be a master to you in a way,
and it would lead to death and destruction.
But by the blood of Jesus He made a way to abide in Him and now we can live according to the spirit
and not be bound by this body of death
