About Me
- Name: portland international house of prayer
- Location: Portland, Oregon, United States
When some friends of a paralytic man heard that Jesus was IN THE HOUSE, they did everything they could to get their friend into his presence. They even took off the roof of a house and lowered him in on a mat, most likely strung up with ropes of some sort. All this after fighting their way through a standing room only crowd that flooded out of that house Jesus occupied. The friends did this for two reasons. One, they had a great love for their friend. Two, they knew that only Jesus could heal him. In the House Ministries exists for two reasons. One, we love the city of Portland. Two, we know that only Jesus can heal this land.

The Downtown House of Prayer is established to provide 24/7 worship and prayer for the city of Portland, Oregon. This blog is just for fun, but perhaps over time it will provide some insight and stimulate discussion surrounding the above areas.

Meditations This Week
Here are some comments from our discussion time (no guarantee that I got it all perfectly right but it IS close to what they said:
Renee noted:
"...But to do justly..." from Micah 6:8
To do, to act, to perform, to initiate, to bring forth,
Justice is righteousness walked out, lived out, experienced…it is bringing things into alignment with the way that they ought to be, the way creation was ordered in the beginning. It is a release of the goodness of God. For in the beginning all was GOOD.
Roy's response to Micah 6:8 : This all about His goodness and only God is good, He has shown us Himself "He has shown you, O Man, what is good"
Ben said: whatever the Lord creates is good, He spoke the world into creation/when He speaks He creates something in us, it is continual/ Phil 4:8/God is always moving, always progressive, we have to be holding on to His hand always, otherwise wherever we let go that is where we will stop
Pat remembered how He let His goodness pass before Moses eyes/he also noted that walking in agreement with God is to walk humbly with Him/this verse is all about the purpose of the Kingdom, the Kingdom of God is to do justly and to love mercy
Rick talked about how God is always filling us/ he also made a point that humble is equivelant to faith; faith is saying " I am not God and You are."
