Meditations: Scriptures for this week

Romans 8:1-4
Micah 6:8

take time to meditate on these verses throughout the week and post a comment sharing some of the revelation you receive. If you'd like to join us for corporate meditation we meet on Wednesdays from 12:30-2:30pm, currently at Sylvan Hill Church (Sylvan exit off Hwy 26--westside just past the zoo)

During our corporate times we use the format our friend Kirk Bennett has shared with us: read it, write it, say it, sing it, pray it.
(For more info check out www.7thunders.org/furnace/index.html)

all scriptures are NKJV unless otherwise noted
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 8:3
For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,

Romans 8:4
that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

Comments:
yay! I'm so glad we're doing this scripture, it's soooo flippin good, yummmy!

on the phone today was i not saying something about being Jacob in a city wrestling with God? look what was on Kirk's website:

Rachel Myers explains, “In Psalm 24:6, Jacob is those who will wrestle with God, who will not be satisfied with life as usual or with the praise of man. These men and women are people who are zealous for the name of God being glorified through them and in them. This is a generation who is violent in abandoned lives of love and devotion towards the Lord, these who will take the kingdom by force. (Matt. 11:12, Luke 18:7-8
